Reliving the ATD New England Area Conference!

It’s been a week since the ATD New England Area Conference and we’ve been reliving it for days! We made so many great connections, talked with intelligent, friendly, caring people and had a ton of fun passing out popcorn and ice cream. ATD New England Area Conference Session

We got some great pictures, the place was packed! Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth, and if you didn’t, contact us! We’d love to talk about the event and what’s going on in our Learning & Development world.

For some of our AXIOM team, this was old hat. But we had some newbies this time too! Our Talent Manager who started back in October, Tammy Sena, had great things to say about her first major ATD event.

“This was my first time attending the ATD New England Conference. It was great to network with new folks within the Learning & Development world! I attended Karen Freedman’s presentation on FM Global’s journey of creating a state of the art, learner focused classroom. What an eye opener into the new world of training!”

Peter Ward, board member for ATD Bay Colonies Chapter and AXIOM Business Development Director highlighted a few things that he thought were beneficial:

  • Karen Freedman’s Presentation on the Classroom of the Future – this was ATD New England Area Conference Chapter Attendeesvery interesting and relevant to where L&D is going!
  • Opening Keynote – Donald Taylor – wow, how entertaining and what an engaging message!
  • The network event on Thursday night was a blast!
  • The AXIOM booth rocked!
  • Other great sessions I was able to attend:
    • Lou Russell – Provoking Leadership During Chaos
    • Karen Hinds – The Impact of Millennials

Karen Hinds at ATD New England Area ConferenceWe sent as many AXIOM people as we could to the sessions but there were too many great ones! We hope to be able to connect with some of the speakers to engage in conversations that we missed.

Jason Ruff, board member for ATD Greater Boston and our Executive Director for Sales and Marketing manned our table for most of the day. What a great way to meet so many people!

“This was a great networking opportunity to speak with current clients, introduce ourselves to potential new clients, as well as meet L&D consultants in the New England market. There were really informative sessions on instructional design as well as some of the challenges L&D leaders face in the business world today. Plus great advice and ways to overcome and provide effective training to their learners.”

We had a great time and can’t wait to spend the next few weeks catching up with old friends, engaging with new ones and putting to use many of the great tricks and trends we learned about during this highly successful and inspiring conference.

See you next year!
