It’s that time of year again… where we all take a moment to cheer on our friend and colleague Peter Ward as he completes the Pan-Mass Challenge! This is quite a ride and we know just how hard Peter has been training throughout the spring and summer. Long bike rides in hot weather, rain, fog and sun, he never gives up! And we’ll be rooting for him next weekend as he rides like the wind!

Next weekend, August 4-5 is the PMC! THANK YOU for all the support and the incredible words of encouragement. There is still time to be a part of this incredible event and support the battle.
I’m floored every year by the generosity and support. The easy part is hopping on a bike and riding to train for 200 miles, the HARD part is asking for money from people. This email gets harder to write every year so I appreciate you sticking with me.
I ride in memory of my Mother who passed away in July 2012 after a long battle with ovarian cancer and for countless friends and family. We’ve all lost friends and people we love this past year and we’ve seen others survive and thrive. The roller coaster continues.
I’m trained and ready to ride the 39th Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), the nation’s largest sports fundraising event raising money for research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). I will be one of over 6,000 cyclists attempting to raise a record $52 million! This success is the result of a lot of people riding for, and caring about, a cure. And because every penny matters, 100% of every donation goes to DFCI.
