May News and Notes

Hard to believe May is already over! We’ve had rainy days in the 50s and sunny days in the 80s. We’ve BBQed on Memorial Day, and spent hours in the garden fighting weeds. We’re looking forward to more summer days ahead,

but can’t help but reflect on all that’s happened in May.

Our biggest news of course… we made the Watch List!!! AXIOM was honored by the Training Industry as a “Training Outsourcing” company to watch in 2018. Thank you!!!

Not only that, but we made it onto that list in less than 4 years. Faster than any other company since the lists started in 2005!

This is great timing, too. Because in less that one month, AXIOM will be a platinum sponsor at the Training Industry’s Conference and Expo in Raleigh, NC! Join us June 26 – 28 for some enlightening presentations, exciting networking and a chance to check out some innovative vendors in the L & D world.

AXIOM’s Design Practice Lead Jenn Kammerdiener will be presenting on Thursday. Her talk, “5 Keys to Effective Learning Strategy” will focus on ensuring your learning program feeds your bottom line (instead of draining it), equipping your learners to make learning their own, and bringing balance to the management of it all.

Another big news item, we’ve added to the AXIOM team! Welcome Tony Jordan, our new Finance Administrator!  Tony now handles accounts payable, accounts receivable, on-boarding new trainers, consultants, and employees, and manages a variety of other financial functions.  Tony has more than 13 years’ experience working in finance; including 8 years overseeing the beer, wine and liquor accounts at BJ’s Wholesale Club. Glad to have you!

Peter Ward, our resident cyclist, has an announcement, too, he’ll be riding in the 39th annual Pan-Mass Challenge this August! Go Peter! Peter rides in memory of his mother who passed away in July 2012 after a long battle with Ovarian cancer, and for countless friends and family. Peter will be one of over 6,000 cyclists attempting to raise a record $52 million!

Here’s a link to Peter’s profile where you can donate: http://www2.pmc.org/profile/PW0100

As usual, each month we highlight a few jobs that are available, and right now we’re actively searching for Agile Trainers. Check is out on LinkedIn and on our Job Opportunities section of our About page on our new website. Contact us if you fit the bill, or send a friend our way! We love referrals!

Are you looking to increase your own skills? We always have 90 minute classes on any MS Office subjects. Calendars are up for June and July. August is coming soon!
